How do I register my child?

Yes! We proudly accept $200 Play On vouchers. These vouchers help eligible families reduce the cost of registration.

When registering through the Sport:80 platform, simply enter your voucher number at checkout and the $200 will be deducted from your total. You can even use multiple vouchers if you have more than one child registering.

Play On vouchers are a great way to make Little Athletics more accessible — so be sure to apply if you’re eligible!

We understand that athletics might not be for everyone - that's why we offer two trial nights before you commit to the season. It's a great way for your child to experience the fun, try a few events, and see if it's the right fit. Please note that registrations fees are non-refundable, which is why we strongly encourage new families to take advantage of the trial nights before signing up fully.

Our Friday Night competition kicks off at 5.30pm Sharp wtih a fun group warm-up. Events usually finish by around 7.30pm-8.00pm, depending on the age groups and the number of participants.

All Friday night meets take place at Russell Barker Park, North Street Golden Beach.

We welcome athletes from Tiny Tots (4 years, 3 years if older sibling is competing) through to U17. Age groups are based on your child's age as of 31st December.

All registered athletes (excluding Tiny Tots) must wear the offical Caloundra Little Athletics uniform with their current bib number attached. Uniforms can be collected at sign-on or Friday night from the clubhouse.

Yes please! Our club is 100% volunteer run. We reply on the help of our families to keep the night running smoothly. Whether it's measuring, raking sand, timekeeping, helping in the canteen or cooking on the BBQ - many hands make light work! No experience needed - we'll guide you!

All athletes results are uploaded to ResultsHQ, which can be accessed using your family login. It's a great way to track personal bests and progress over the season!

Yes - we love seeing your memories! Just be mindful to only photograph your own child. Our club photographer may also take action shots for social media and promotional use.

You don't need to notify us if your child will be away for one night, but we do encourage regular attendance so athletes can improve and earn points towards end of season awards.

Each age group rotates through a mix of events including sprints, distance runs, race walking, jumps and throws. Weekly programs are displayed on the noticeboard and shared in advance via our facebook page.

We always try our best to go ahead with Friday night competition even if we have to run a modified competition night. However, if weather conditions have made the fields unsafe, cancellation for the safety of athletes, families and volunteers will be required. Notice of cancellation will be via our facebook page.

No, children cannot be left unattended at the field. We kindly ask that a parent or guardian stays for the duration of the night. Little Athletics is a family-focused program and we love seeing parents and carers cheer on their children, celebrate their achievements, and share in the fun and excitement of Friday night competition. Your support helps make the night more enjoyable and safe for everyone!

Roped-off areas are designated for throwing events such as javelin and discus. These areas are marked off for safety reasons and must not be walked through at any time. Please help us keep everyone safe by staying clear of these zones and reminding children to do the same.

We welcome athletes from Tiny Tots (4 years, 3 years if older sibling is competing) through to U17. Age groups are based on your child's age as of 31st December.

Spikes can only be worn by athletes in the U11 age group and above, and only in specific events such as sprints, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, and high jump. They must be worn only during the event and removed straight after. Safety is our priority, so please check with your child's age manager or an official if you're unsure whether spikes are allowed for a particular event.

Our athletic season typically runs from September to March, with Friday night competitions held weekly (weather permitting). We take a break over the Christmas period and return in the new year to finish off the season. Keep and eye on our calendar for key dates like sign-on days, special events, and our end of season celebration.

None at all! Little Athletics is for every child, regardless of ability and experience. Whether your child is new to sport or already active, our focus is on fun, fitness, and personal improvement - not just winning. Every child is encouraged to try their best, make friends, and enjoy being part of a supportive community. All abilities are welcome!
